Always lovers, but never friends
That's what we're meant to be

Always apart but never beside
That's what it seems to me

Too young to stay together
Too old to grow apart

Too set in our stubborn ways
To listen to our hearts

Not enough experience
Not nearly enough time

Too practical to use
Our hearts over our minds

A temporary fling
That's how it always ends

That's why we're forever lovers
But never ever friends

Inside Your Hug
Inside your hug is where I like to be
It doesn't matter where it is
I find it loving, soft and warm
With a hint of loving mystery!

I can linger in your warm desire
Remaining in a soft embrace of love
Sometimes, it is pure and sacred
Like the resting place of dove!

Sometimes, it is sensual and exciting
Gathering each other up in a sensual embrace
Reflections of all that we have learned about each other
With a warm response that shows on the face!

We can be at a park on a warm summer's day
Or walking along by a stream
On a "Up North" get-a-way
A simple time by the fire at the cabin
Or dancing to music on a sunlit day!

Inside your hug is the best place to be
An acceptance of one another with perfect grace
Finding a home of refuge and strength
Wrapped inside a hug in any given place!

with all of this i sit in my own little empire i have built
i have no conception of the who what when where and how
and who can we be?
who are we now?
faces in low lit city spaces
from all walks of life,
breeding new places & common races

i often ponder such obstructions
from the catacombs of thought constructions
im a victim of my own destructions

ciggarette burns on my empire, my home
the only backroads i will ever roam,
and from these pavement depths i talk to me
interested in friends i cannot see
people change every second of every day
so who are we now anyway?

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those
who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings
